It’s weekend two for the 2020 Six Nations Championship and we’re back with our next round of outlandish predictions for the 2020 PSA Academies Six Nations Predictions Challenge. The demi-surprise (see what I did there?!) of France’s upset of Eddie Jones’ loveable English team in Paris has already started to split the boys from the men, so there are some crunch calls already starting to appear for some of the contestants. On the guest predicter front, Thai RFU Vice-Chairman Nattapol Hemyoo hand’s over the baton to our high-performance sponsor Data Shield’s Cliff Hutchings.
First, up the positions after week 1;
Match Results
Wales 42 – Italy 0
Ireland 19 – Scotland 12
France 24 – England 17
Joint 1st Place – 15 points – Philippe & Johne – the only two pundits to call the right result in Paris BUT neither called the right 7 points winning margin which would have landed them the 5 points bonus points!
Joint 2nd Place – 10 points – Everyone Else! Honorable mentions to Neil for just missing out on the correct winning margin in the IRE v SCO match (predicted 8 points v the actual difference of 7 points) and Graham (me) who was final England try away from landing an unlikely correct score draw prediction in Paris!
REMINDER – the 2020 6 Nations Predictions Challenge rules are simple. Each competitor needs to give us a winner prediction and winning margin (if a draw was predicted, they need to predict the total match points). It is 5 points for a correct result prediction and 5 points for a correct winning margin/total draw match points total.
The ‘expert’ with the most points at the end of the tournament is crowned the 6 Nations Predictions Challenge ‘King of the Picks’.
