PSA Academies, in partnership with RugbyCamps.ie, are delighted to announce the launch of the Roscrea Rugby Academy, a fantastic new high performance rugby camp for boys and girls this July.
Based in a famous rugby educational venue that is Cistercian College Roscrea, the 3/5 day camp will provide an exceptional development experience for the most ambitious young players aged 10 to 18 years.
The programme (see the brochure here) takes place from Sunday 1st July, giving parents and players an early summer opportunity window to book their residential rugby camp for 2018. Using the excellent venue facilities including extensive pitches, an indoor sports hall, sizeable high spec gym and weightsroom and indoor heated pool, the programme will cover all the key high performance modules under the PSA Academies philosophy, including;
- general and position-specific skills development
- game development & analysis
- S&C programming and technique
- SAQ
- injury prevention
- nutrition
- sports tech like Shadowman Sports, Shadowball etc.
- sports psychology and more.
Using the same C.A.R.D.S. framework as used by England Rugby underage set up, the programme, led by head coaches Johan Taylor and Johne Murphy, will challenge all the players collectively and individually to develop the softer skills to make them better players at their respective age groups.

It will also allow Minis rugby players of 10 to 11 years of age to get their first taste of a residential rugby camp (also of a boarding school setting), with a special 3 Night package customised to deliver a great early experience for these players.
Speaking on the day of the launch, PSA Academies co-founder & Chairman, ex-French Head Coach and rugby legend Philippe Saint-Andre was excited by the prospects for the Academy, saying
