Bookings are flying in for the inaugural RugbyCamps.ie & PSA Academies Girls Rugby Academy, taking place in Kilkenny College this February mid term from Thurs 14th to Sat 17th inclusive.
Word seems to have spread nationwide with a wide range of clubs represented in the bookings to date. The Girls Rugby Academy programme being prepared by head coaches Johan Taylor and Ex-Ireland A and Munster player Johne Murphy will be a great high performance challenge for the girls attended, allowing them to thoroughly test their core skills and game understanding, as well as developing their decision making, S&C programmes and other aspects of their game and training preparation.
Speaking earlier this evening, Johne commented “We’re really delighted with the response from the girls rugby community. The game has really developed at club and schools level with some excellent initiatives from the provinces and IRFU but we felt that there was a real niche in the Irish market for a mid-season camp that was very intense and player-focussed, bringing the best of the programme elements from our renowned Tignes Rugby Academy. So far so good in terms of interest, although we’re keen to fill the remaining Girls Rugby Academy spaces soon so that we can focus then on delivering a fantastic learning experience for the girls involved.”
All girls that book in for the inaugural Girls Rugby Academy will get a special 10% discount for the best-in-market Tignes Rugby Academy this July (7 – 28 July), the ultimate summer residential rugby camp experience at 2,100m in the French Alps.
