On Tuesday, St Munchin’s met St Clement’s on Thomond Park’s back pitch, with the Corbally men coming out as convincing 60-6 winners.
The following day saw the three other QF ties take place. In the early match at the UL complex, a Darragh French-inspired PBC got the better of Crescent as the Cork school booked a spot in the semis with a convincing 25-14 victory.
Castletroy were left disappointed as Bandon also made the trip from Cork to secure a win at the same venue, with that one finishing 15-17 to Bandon.
Meanwhile at Clanwilliam, there was another ‘home’ loss, with Rockwell this time losing out to Cup favourites Christian’s on a scoreline of Rockwell 3-18 CBC.
So things are hotting up nicely with St Munchin’s being the sole Limerick representative to take the fight to the three remaining Cork schools. The draw has pitched Munchins against PBC, with CBC taking on Bandon Grammar.
Best of luck to all in the next round, which take place week beginning Mon 19 February.
