FOR IMMEADIATE RELEASE – Tuesday 02 April 2019
PSA Academies and RugbyCamps.ie have recently agreed a deal that will see their co-branded, market-leading summer rugby academies run under the ‘PSA Rugby Camps’ brand in the future.
Heading into a big summer season for the new combined brand, it is expected that the repositioning, along with the launch of a new upgraded website, will have a significant, positive impact on the performance of the four high performance camps planned for the Irish market.
After successfully pioneering the set up and growth of minis and youth sports camps in the Kildare and wider Leinster region since being launched by Johan Taylor and Johne Murphy in late 2015, RugbyCamps.ie brings a loyal database and strong credentials around coaching excellence to the new brand and business.
PSA Academies, established by partners Philippe Saint-André, Ian Lewis and Graham Ross in early 2016, have themselves earned a position as leading players in the high-performance youth sports market in Europe, providing high performance rugby academies, camps and clinics, quality sports educational placements and tailored team development tours.
The new business is unconnected with Rugby Academy Ireland, the leading independent, residential rugby academy based in Naas, Co. Kildare, that Johan established with ex-Leinster underage coach Dan van Zyl in late 2018.
Speaking about the agreement to form the ‘PSA Rugby Camps’ brand in Ireland, Johan Taylor said; “As committed partners, RugbyCamps.ie and PSA Academies together successfully established Summer Residential Camps in Kilkenny and Roscrea over the last two years. In looking to keep growing these and add new venues in Limerick and Westmeath for this year, it was an obvious and exciting step to streamline the two brands and our business operations. We’re very excited to be moving forward with what we believe are the best rugby development experiences in Ireland this summer”.
Johne Murphy spoke; “I’m really excited to be bringing the new PSA Rugby Camps brand to even more venues and young players this Summer, particularly in Limerick, where I had such a great playing experience with Munster. With our new business set up, we’re in a position to offer ambitious young 10 to 17 year old players and their families an even better camp experience with leading coaches (watch this space for big announcements shortly!), fantastic high performance rugby and activities plus our unrivalled post-camp Player Development Report.”
For PSA Academies, Graham Ross said; “We’re delighted to move forward under the exciting new PSA Rugby Camps brand and would like to thank Johan and Johne for their commitment in making this big step forward. With four fantastic venues in Ireland across this July and August, it is a really exciting time for us and with the new improved website and booking experience now live, we believe we have everything in place to deliver a really successful year.”
