Limited places remain for relaunched high-performance Rugby Academies as go live date nears

By July 5, 2020No Comments

The PSA Rugby Academy Tignes is fully booked.  We have a waiting list in place for 12-15yrs boys group at PSA Rugby Academy Kildare.  And there is significant interest for limited places at remaining Irish Rugby Academies (Roscrea 27-31 July, Cork 3-7 August, Dublin 17-21 August) and relaunch UK Rugby Academies (South England 10-14 August, East England 10-14 August).

Following the recent relaunch of the PSA Rugby Academies schedule for summer 2020 for our French, Irish & UK venues, we’ve seen unprecedented demand for our limited places on these high-performance rugby development programmes.  With the COVID-19 related disruption of underage rugby in recent months, there is unsurprisingly a huge interest in giving young players a chance to get back to rugby with an innovative and top-class educational and physical training format.  With an operational set up that fully complies with all prevalent Government and Rugby Union protocols across our three venue countries, our strongest ever coaching and mentoring team led by ex-Munster player and PSA Academies Head of Rugby Johne Murphy will deliver a non-contact skills-focussed rugby and physical development programme offline and online for 10-16yrs players, boys and girls.  We’re less than one week to go until the start of our fully booked out PSA Rugby Academy Tignes, so anticipation is really building.

The new online mentoring module, taking place across each evening the UK & Irish PSA Rugby Academies, will give parents and their young players a fantastic opportunity to participate in online webinars and other interactive content with our top team of sports science mentors including ex Munster players Johnny Holland (Sports Nutrition) and Cathal Sheridan (Mental Wellness) plus leading sports physiotherapist Breiffne O’Donnell (Sports Injury Prevention & Concussion) and our Head of S&C for our Irish programme Annie McCarra (Physical Development for Young Players).  With the impact of the current COVID-19 crisis on the development and emotional well being of our young rugby athletes, we believe it has never been more important to give our Academy attendees and their parents as much relevant information, education and support as we can to help them through what is a challenging time for all of us.

We’re looking forward to announcing more updates around our top-class Academies coaching teams, our rugby & online education programmes and some very exciting partnerships for this summer and beyond.  Don’t forget to book ASAP as places are limited and we will book out across our venues this summer!
